The Garden Tower® 2 is a compact, self-fertilizing vertical garden system that grows up to 50 plants in just four square feet of space. Designed for small patios, balconies, greenhouses, or backyard corners, it turns everyday kitchen scraps into rich organic fertilizer that continuously feeds your plants.

How It Works

A central composting column runs through the middle of the tower. Kitchen scraps are added to the column, where worms and beneficial microbes break them down into nutrient-rich compost. These nutrients are then distributed throughout the soil column, giving every plant access to naturally produced fertilizer. The result is a thriving, soil-based garden that mimics the efficiency of natural ecosystems.

Optional Caster Wheel Kit (Sold Separately)

The optional caster wheel kit allows easy movement across patios, decks, or greenhouses. It includes a double powder-coated steel support base, hardware, and three heavy-duty double-locking casters with triple ball bearings. The caster system supports the full operational weight of approximately 220 pounds.

Recommended Planting Options

Vegetables: Lettuce, kale, spinach, peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, beans, peas, broccoli, cauliflower, and more.
Herbs: Basil, thyme, oregano, parsley, chives, cilantro, mint, rosemary, and dill.
Flowers: Marigolds, nasturtiums, calendula, pansies, and other edible or ornamental blooms.

Composting and Worm Care

• Begin with 250–500 composting worms in the central column and 25–50 earthworms in the soil section.

• Feed your worms regularly with kitchen scraps such as fruit peels, vegetable trimmings, coffee grounds, and crushed eggshells.

• Avoid meat, dairy, oily foods, and excessive citrus.

• Water with 4–6 gallons every few days, depending on climate and plant needs.

• Harvest compost and liquid fertilizer (“worm tea”) from the lower drawer to enrich your garden beds.

Seasonal Care

Maintain your Garden Tower between 40°F and 80°F for optimal worm activity. In colder regions, bring the tower indoors or transfer the compost and worms to an indoor bin during winter months. Rotate the tower occasionally to ensure even sun exposure.
